How can I use text based details to show understanding of a text and to draw conclusions?
What notes (or thinking maps) can I use to determine the main idea of and summarize text with supporting details?
How does the text structure (paragraphs, sentences, etc.) support key ideas?
1. Pick your article....haunted houses or phobias??...
2. Determine how you will take notes. What best suits the article? What best suits you?
3. Read and take notes.
4. Teach someone else about your article, using your notes.
HW: None (Bonus work due by Wednesday)
